Dr. Mrs. Vandana Lulla is the Director of Podar Group of International Schools undertaking the International Curriculum (IB & Cambridge)
She is the Vice President of South Asian International Baccalaureate Schools Association (SAIBSA).
She has been appointed as Accreditation team member on the prestigious Council of International Schools Accreditation Team and has been on the Accreditation team for schools in India, Hong Kong, China and Indonesia. She has also been appointed by CfBT London to inspect schools in the UAE and has inspected more than 200 schools in Dubai.
She is a validated trainer for British Council and has trained more than 200 principals and teachers PAN India. She has conducted various trainings on Creativity and Imagination, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Digital Literacy, Collaboration and Communication, Citizenship, Team Building, Leadership, Effective Parenting and many more for Principal’s, Teacher’s and Student’s pan India.
She holds a doctorate degree in “Managing students with SEN using Technology and has over 20 years of experience of being an inspirational teacher and a principal who creates leaders in classrooms. She has been a mentor and a coach to many of her teachers who have now become leaders of schools.
She has always been a progressive leader and believed in change and has been one of the very first pioneers to introduce Interactive Boards, laptops, I-Pad and 3D technology in the classrooms.
She is regarded and respected by all parents for being extremely approachable. This has led to Podar International School being ranked No.1 for best Parental Involvement by Education World.
Under her astounding leadership and maintaining high institutional quality, her School has secured a hatrick in terms of “Best School Award” by Digital Learning, Hindustan Times and Education World.
Year after year repeatedly, she has created “World and India Toppers” at the Cambridge, IB and the University of London Examinations.
Her school undertook a unique initiative to paint the walls of 21 Police Stations in the west region of Mumbai and a project “Beautification of Traffic Park at Cooperage” with the Mumbai Traffic Police Department. During the 26th July, 2005 floods, Podar International School adopted 147 children affected by the floods and the entire educational expenses were taken care of.
She has experience in working with 300 students with various learning difficulties i.e. Learning Disability, Hearing Impairment, ADHD, etc. in mainstream education and have improved the performances of such students using technology.
She has been bestowed with the Rajya Puraskar Award by Maharashtra State Government for selfless work done in the field of education and the ‘Global Accreditation Award’ by the British Council for undertaking a research project on developing higher order thinking skills in students.
She has also recently been awarded the Prestigious Mahatma Gandhi Leadership Award for Outstanding services in Education by Ms. Preet Kaur Gill, Member of Parliament, UK at the House of Lords, UK.
She has been listed in the publication “Who’s who” as a result of her contributions to the school education communities that she has served.
Her prime aim is to give back to the society in the form of community service. Her passion is never ending and infinite.
